We have a big treat for members in September – an evening with Dame Anne Evans, who lives locally but is famed internationally as an operatic soprano. Retired now, the roles for which she’s most well known are that of Brünnhilde, a Wagnerian Valkyrie, and Isolde in Tristan and Isolde. To learn more about her, see here

We’ll be hearing about her life and travels, and see a recording of her singing. We’ll also be hearing from her husband about life married to a Valkyrie.

Please feel free to bring a friend along as a guest, but please let us know so we can make sure we have enough drinks.
