Bring, Show and Tell

We had a lovely meeting in June, sharing treasured memories via possessions and images. We had a picture showing four generations of women from the same family, one of a son all dressed up for his first formal dance, and a pair of silver dance shoes from someone else. We talked about two statuettes and the memories they evoked, one of time spent living in a far-off country, the other of the family home here in London. We had teaspoons and embroidery, again with stories behind them. It was a fascinating glimpse into bygone days.
