N1 WI is very pleased to be hosting this year’s annual group meeting for the Middlesex East Group of WIs. The meeting will take place on MONDAY 22nd October 7-9pm in our usual hall and is free to attend for WI members (of any WI).

Dr Hollie Price, Teaching Associate in Film Studies at Queen Mary, University of London, will be screening Ministry of Information films shown to WIs during the Second World War and speaking to us about her research in this field.

In keeping with the World War II theme, we’ll be hosting two competitions: preserves and potato dishes. Entries will be judged on taste, presentation, and creativity and there will be a people’s choice and judge’s choice awarded in each competition.

There will also be a raffle with fabulous prizes, and refreshments for sale on the night.
