We have a slightly different structure for April’s Meeting to accommodate our charity requirement to hold an Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting will be held from 7-7:30 pm after which the doors will open for visitors and friends to join for the main part of the meeting – more detail below.
Main Meeting 7:30-9:00pm “What happened to the cards left outside Buckingham Palace on the death of Diana, Princess of Wales”
Helene Donnelly, a specialist paper conservator and one of our members, will discuss her work preserving paper in all sort of situations primarily using her work preserving the paper cards, condolence letters and notes left outside Buckingham Palace on Diana’s death. Although her expertise hasn’t only been used in this way her talk and demonstration will open your eyes to her specialist field.
Visitors are welcome from 7:30.
